It creates a barrier against UVA/UVB light, the most harmful rays of solar radiation, which deteriorate the wood and make it grey. It prevents the erosive action of water and moisture. It enhances the beauty of the woodworks and strengthens the protection of the wood treated with water-based wood stains. 5-10% dilution with water is recommended to improve the application of the product.
Instructions d’uso
Stained/impregnated wood. It is possible to apply RQxx70 on a wood treated with low-solid content dyes or wood stains. Once the surface has been cleaned, slightly sand with sandpaper or scotch brite. Remove the powder and apply 1-2 coats of product.
Coated wood. On a paint finish in good condition it is necessary to sand with 320 grit sandpaper. Clean the surface, then proceed to paint. On a paint finish in bad condition, sand with 80-150 grit sandpaper to bring the wood back to the raw condition. Clean the surface and proceed to paint. Application of 1-2 coats of Wood Stain RMxx10 or Gel Wood Stain RGxx80 before UV Defender Topcoat RQxx70 is recommended.
Maintenance
In case of objects very exposed to the atmospheric agents, it is sufficient to treat only the parts that begin to deteriorate. Slightly sand the object with 220-320 grit sandpaper, remove the powder and apply one coat of the desired colour. On the most deteriorated parts it is possible to apply a second coat. If the object is not much exposed to the atmospheric agents, the maintenance operations will be less frequent. To extend the protective action of the film and the aspect of the woodwork it is recommended to clean with Neutral Detergent T.Clean RR1050 and Brightener T.Top+ RR1250 every six months. Avoid aggressive detergents.
